Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance. I painted this Lakshmi for a dear friend at Shoshoni who was finishing her time of service and getting ready to reenter the work force. Lakshmi's two lower hands show mudras of "have no fear" in her right hand and giving blessings with her left. Her two upper hands hold lotuses as a reminder that true wealth is spiritual and has an ascending quality. In the background is a mountain profile, Mt. Thorodin or the Sleeping Giant as seen from Shoshoni. A small waterfall in the middle background is a waterfall of abundance.
